Sony Ericsson have just posted their X2 software upgrade schedule on the official Xperiancers blog, and it shows that we’ve got two firmware upgrades in store for the X2. The first will come in March and it’ll upgrade the phone’s operating system to Windows Mobile 6.5.2, thereby improving the stability and usability. It will also enabled video calling, an FM radio and quicker GPS fixes. The second upgrade will come in May and will upgrade the operating system to version 6.5.3, just like the Aspen. Sony Ericsson says this will be the most significant upgrades, as it will improve performance, usability, power management and browsing experience. Sounds good! By the way, the post also mentions Windows Mobile 7 and that there won’t be an update to WM7 as the phone’s hardware won’t suffice. This tells us that Sony Ericsson are working on / with Windows Mobile 7. Source: Xperiancers |
